Letter of Recommendation Guidelines

One recommendation form should be filled out by a teacher.
-
A principal/counselor/pastor/tutor/coach or another teacher should complete the second recommendation form.
Academic Evaluation
Hope will administer an Academic Evaluation on various Saturdays throughout the year for incoming students. All applicants are required to take this test or submit High School Placement Test (HSPT) scores in order to be considered for acceptance. If a student has already taken or plans to take the HSPT at another school, he/she can have those scores emailed/mailed to the Admissions Team.
Family Interview
After evaluating the completed application and entrance exam results, the Admissions Director will contact the prospective student about acceptance or schedule a family interview.
-
An interview is not guaranteed for every applicant. In the interview, the Admissions Director is looking for the student’s academic potential, work ethic, and personal desire to attend Hope. The Admissions Director will also want to determine the level of family involvement and support.
-
All admissions decisions are made by email within two weeks of the interview, if not sooner.
